Okay so the five issue set of "The Haunted Tank" is out and done with
and while the storyline is decent, what gripes me is that they took a historical figure and "kinda did some things" with him that he never did
. But I guess they needed a reason/way/explanation to explain issue #1

I read that comic faithfully in the mid-late '60s. Though I must admit having a M3 Stuart always taking out heavy German tanks with its little 37mm cannon stretched even my young sensibilities. So
I'm guessing you are referring to the new version where the General haunts an M1A1? Regards, the Gorb |

I bought the new version and can't say I liked it. Something very wrong about a ghost slicing off an enemy tank's gun with his ethereal sword. Did Jeb have that much power in the original version? I forget. |

Jeb just rode along above the tank and talked to the commander, if I remember rightly. He never actually participated physically. That would bug the crap out of me, too. |

one of the few comic books I ever bought seemed kind of odd to me but it sounds like the update is a terrible idea |

So an update
I talked to the resident comic book store owner guru and he says "That it got great reviews and because of that they might be "stretching it out" a few more issues
" bleah
Back to Batman for me

The problem with that is Batmsn's currently supposed to be dead. Have you seen the new Garth Ennis Battlefields series Tankies? The first issue was out this week. It's about a Churchill crew in Normandy. |

Batman is not dead , if you see the last panel of Final Crisis you will see the truth that is going on. |

The only DC I read in the '80's were Sgt. Rock and Haunted Tank. Well, and Warlord. DC's "reboots" have been lame. I read a few issues of the new "The War That Time Forgot" and it was way to busy. Too many characters, too much action, no explanation. The new Jonah Hex was crap too. |

the only time Jeb the ghost fought in the old series he was fighting another ghost. |
