if he comes home from work this evening, and we have one less Siamese cat? His Siamese boy just snatched one of my painted miniatures off the top of a display case he's not allowed to get on. And ran off with it into the green room. And gnawed off some of the paint before I could catch him and rescue the mini. Dammit, I don't remember what color green her shirt was painted in -- I did her maybe four years ago! While I will always love them, there are times I do not like the animals very much at all

You must have done something very bad to be punished like that. |

I was moderately proud of that paint job, too. At least he didn't grab my all-time favorite mini. Which I am going to go put in the shadowbox with the glass door right this very second. |

Cats come and go as they please – you can always just shrug and say "Oh, you know how cats are
" if he asks where the furry beast went off to

That might work if the cats were ever allowed outside. Sadly for this scenario, they are indoor only. Ah, well. I named the beast "Puck". Perhaps I gave him ideas. |

Dunno if he'd miss the kitty or not. We only have 4, and living in a rural area, are *real* aware of any which 'escape' momentarily to the outside. There's an enormous owl which'd probably make a meal out of the two girl kitties, and a coyote which'd be more than a match for either of the boys. |

the top of a display case he's not allowed to get on I've never had a cat that actually acknowledged whether or not I 'allowed' it to do anything
especially not anything having to do with high shelves. |

If the cat's named Puck, you should be able to get out the hockey stick and score some goal action
This is why all our cats were outside cats, though, poor impulse control on their part. |

Cats are smarter than dogs because they have succeeded in convincing humans that it is a waste of time to try to train or discipline them. |

The mini is repairable. The cat lives (but for some reason seems to be avoiding Tacha). |

" I don't remember what color green her shirt was painted in -- I did her maybe four years ago!" I can't tell you what color her shirt was painted, but I suggest that the new paint job be jalapeņo green. That way, when the moggy decides to have a second go at the competition for your affection, it'll be self-punishing. Wyatt |

Obviously you have never seen a cat giving their digestive tract a second go at grasshoppers. |

Did you explain nicely to the cat she wasn't allowed on the display case? |

Well, it's too late, but in the future you could always blame the other cats, tell him they 'voted Puck off the island'. |

Another reason why I don't allow cats in the house. |

Well, there is always the "Terrorists broke in and stole the cat" story. |

Ours are (mostly) good at following the rules. Each cat seems to think there's one thing for which (s)he's the exception to the rule. But overall, they're a good bunch of beasties. Although if Puck keeps up the mini-napping, I may have to ban him from the playroom for a few weeks. |

Obviously you have never seen a cat giving their digestive tract a second go at grasshoppers. and lizards (small skinks that she can catch in her outside cat run) I wondered what she was doing with her puke and was horrified when I was the skink was still moving. Usually when the cats have brought a lizard into the house, I take it off them and let it go. this time I left the poor thing to its fate. |

I just bought some cheap shelves, precisely for cat rescue purposes. Every other night I'd find whatever I had left out from painting, knocked around the table. Maybe they just wanted to game, but the lack of thumbs made their games uncoordinated. |

Our cat tried to sneak out of the apartment recently into the vacant unit across the hall from us,got her back in under a minute. She's a funny one. |

Poor Puck now has a bit of a cold and is sticking pretty close to me. For cats that do want to be cuddled when they're feeling poorly, I seem to be the snuggle of choice. |
