I ran across what i think was the ultimate geek book .

The star trek x-men crossover. i couldn't believe it when i saw it i do not read star trek books or novels of comic books but it drew at my geek gene to the point i had to buy it ,

Unless this is a new one, is this the old one from years ago where the point was just to get one joke with Bones and the Beast in thesame room when someone shouted "Dr McCoy"?

no it gets worse it was a startrek next generation with xmen called xplanet and when i started reading it . it mentions that picard had met the xmen once before . so it is number 2
