Corn chips: flavoured or plain? I mean before you cover them in salsa, cheese etc. |
| CLDISME | 14 Apr 2009 6:39 a.m. PST |
Are you talking Fritos or a corn tortilla chip? Either way, I go plain. The salt is enough flavor for me. |

Plain and salty works well for me. Freshly fried at our local taco place is even better. |

If you're talking about having the snacks out during a game then I would say plain. There's always someone who will drip salsa onto the table and/or figures if you give them the opportunity. |

Plain. Choose your own flavor. |

I like the Chili Cheese Fritos (and tend to eat some when I eat my burritos), especially when the weather gets cold. I also like the lime-flavored Tostitos. |

If it's chips, then plain. Frito-Lay used to make a lime-and-chili flavor that was really good, but I must have been the only one who liked it. Their current lime doesn't compare. Chili cheese fritos are pretty good, too. |

I like the lime fliavored ones. Or plain, and then drench them in Mango Salsa (Paul Newman and Costco both make very good varieties
) |

Plain. As mentioned above I prefer to flavor them myself. |

well here in Virginia you can not get Chili Cheese fritos. :-( So I have family members in Texas mail me some when the "hunger" hits. |

Plain -- unless my wife mixes up the Hormel chilli/Phily Cream Cheese/Cheeze Whiz mix -- don't knock it til you try it, great on a cold damp day. Then, you need the Frito scoops. |

Plain, flavored, fill the bowl please. |

Plain. Same with potato chips. The strange flavours they add to chips are just weird. Chicken? Everything tastes like chicken – except whatever they flavour chips with. The only exception is salt an vinegar for potato chips. |

Plain tortilla chips with a good bowl of chili or better yet a nice burrito. Yum! |

Get some 6" corn torts, quarter them, and cook in about 300 degree oil stirring constantly with 12" long tongs until the bubbleing begins to die down. Pull out and dump them on a pan with paper towels at the bottem, and salt immediately. I garauntee you will never eat bagged ones again. |

Whatever is handy. BTW. Trader Joes makes a crazy good Peach Salsa, which is AWESOME! |

Plain or honey BBQ. I can't eat too many of the plain ones anymore as I find them too greasy. |
