nature makes the bears look cuddly for just such an emergency. I imagine the bear will be put down now. zoo's need to be more isolated for the animals sakes. |

Read about this on "The Local". The German paper calls her disturbed. Probably, yes. I note they make of point of saying it's not Knut, the hand-reared cub. link

This was really upsetting to everyone involved: link Tatiana the Tiger *was* shot and killed, but she was out of her pen at the time. A number of people I know were really angry at the kids *and* the Director of the Zoo at the time (the staff didn't like him, and he resigned (I think) not long after). |
