When you get a call that the document camera in a classroom is acting funny. I went over to take a look and while I was checking connections a drop of water fell from the ceiling and hit it dead center. I then tilted and out poured half a cup of water. A $2,000 dollar piece of equipment has been dripped on for two days and none of the half dozen or so faculty using the room noticed, of if they did, reported it.

Hopefully removing the cover and letting air dry brings it back to life.

Pearls before swine.

I don't know what it's like where you work, but where I work they have 'centralized' and outsourced and streamlined and right sized to the point you don't know how or to whom to report problems. The website is so obtuse and rigid it's useless.

Makes me appreciate our tech people all the more. I have never reported a problem with our classroom electronics that hasn't been fixed by the next time I have used the classroom.

Waco…the first thing you would always hear is "I didn't notice it"…second thing was "It's not my job"…

I get the same things sometimes…

A bit of advice I recently read was to pack a small device in rice, the idea being the rice will absorb the water

Not sure if such advice is applicable to your situation

In a place I worked several years ago, water started dripping on our development server. When we went to move it we realised that it was situated under the gents' toilet and it wasn't water dripping…
