Scale Creep Miniatures19 Feb 2009 6:06 p.m. PST

We're driving to Marshall, MI from Cincinnati in the morning. Mapquest and Google both suggest 75 north to US30 and the US30 west to Fort Wayne.

Does anyone know what 30 is like? Is it a highway or a two-lane stop light festival? As it is a 60 mile stretch from 75 to 469 I might want to consider an alternate way to cut west…

Thanks.

The descriptions here are pretty accurate, according to my partner, who drives it fairly frequently:

Along that portion, it's divided, but only a short section of freeway on your route. Google Earth shows that, too. The 40 traffic signals mentioned are west of Fort Wayne.

Not sure you could do better on another route.
