A huge loss of economic resource and a potential danger created. Am I the only one thinking "Cool. Wish we had pictures."?

No, you are not.

Forget space, imagine the crap in our oceans!

Cool. Wish we had pictures.

Or did somebody already say that? grin

I'm seeing a need for an orbiting laser platform to vaporize space debris. Which would be even cooler.

Wanna buy a bridge as you're at it?

All the good lasers are being used on sharks.
Oh, and for volcano lancing too.

Excellent idea John. Laser-armed Space Sharks! We should start working on it right away.

"Forget space, imagine the crap in our oceans!"

There is a large area in the Pacific that is just one large "island" of garbage. It is so large that it is too expensive to attempt cleaning up and nearly impossible to actually do. The waters in the area just circle and spin keeping everything together in one large pseudo-mass and difficult to remove. It's a real mess.

Laser-armed Space Sharks! We should start working on it right away.

What scale?

Whatisitgood4atwork11 Feb 2009 9:01 p.m. PST

All scales! Including 'heroic' all scales.

After that we can start on the Zombie Laser-armed Space Shark range

Where's Harry Broderick when you need him?

You know, that's not a bad idea. If I was a millionaire (or won the lottery), I'd organize a space salvage business, recovering defunct satellites and other wayward debris for profit. I'd call it something like, I dunno, "Stellar Salvage", or something like that. I'm not in an inspired mood at the moment to think of a clever title for my business, as I'm falling asleep. Maybe tomorrow.

Time to crack out "Planetes" again.

Don't they recycle plastic? Maybe they should look on it as a resouce that does not require oil and collect it all and make new plastic army men out of it.

And how come my soda rings last 400 years but my Airfix figures crumbled to dust in only 30?
