Yeah, but bringing back a species, only to have it die again in 7 minutes isn't very useful. Unless you're doing it for meat… ;)

Not really. DNA degrades over time and can also be contaminated so only species that have become extinct in the last 10,000 years would qualify:

What I'd love to see are the Dodo, Elephant Bird, Upland Moa, and most important, the WOOLY MAMMOTH!
