Like Sword of Aragon, Star Control, etc. If you have links, that would be great. |

Star Control II is available in Linux, as is a free version of Panzer General, Warlord and an original game called Wesnoth |

Mac or PC? Apple's site has lists of downloadable games in all sorts of formats (freeware, shareware and demo), with links to each. Quality varies, of course. I have Wesnoth, which is a hex-based strategy game, sort of a cross between Warcraft and the old Might & Magic strategy game. It's turn-based, not real time; more of a boardgame translated to the computer, with the computer rolling the dice for combat. Old school with good 2D vaguely animé graphics. Worth a look. I don't know if there's a PC version or not. |
