Glad to see he's feeling better. (If I'm reading the story correctly, he's had this cancerous tumor for 40 years???)

What's the difference between a male Tuatara and a male human?

The Tuatara matures after only 70 years.

Now John, don't go and do something foolish! grin

Ha! Good one, Pictors.

Incidentally, how long does it take for human males to mature? Or have no human males lived long enough for anyone to find out?

Sue Kes31 Jan 2009 3:32 a.m. PST

"A male Tuatara takes 70 years to fully mature but reaches sexual maturity about age 20."

Hmmmmm …….

I wouldn't read too much into that, Sue.

Well, maybe you should.

So the cure for grumpy old men is to have the tumor removed from their genitals?

Pictors Studio31 Jan 2009 12:45 p.m. PST

It works ever time. Although the grumpiness is a result of secondary causes. The tumor just causes discomfort in the genital region.

Maybe that's why tuataras have not taken over the world. They can't breed until the tumors are removed from their genitals.
