Jovian- it's not a job as such. She has a job, but is also the Rep for the recognised LGBT organisation, a bit like a union rep. For instance if some one got harrassment because of their sexuality then she would be able to give/contact help and guidance.

The 'Jerry Springer territory' is a bit harsh. Gay people are perfectly normal (and I know 2 TS wargamers)

I never said she was self appointed. I would assume (as with most such positions) nominations were sought, and a vote amoung eligible employees.
