Cat-scan (non-Siamese)came back, tummy clear but they found out I have pneumonia, caught the lower lobe of lung in the scan and saw it was cloudy, and I just came back from the other Doc's office been told I have Bronchitis. Need Ab's and a lung x-ray in 10 days. Giving the cats a run for their money in the horking up gross stuff dept. Wow, just in time for Christmas! Never thought I'd be happy to have pneumonia, but I am. One of the Sx's is stomach ache! I've had this "bronchitis" for 2 months now, and had to get the happy hose and a cat scan, but caught a polyp so I guess it worked out pretty good. Got my Christmas gift early.

Hope you're able to clear the gunk and get feeling better soon.

That wasn't too bad. Glad that's all that ail you.

Please be careful. The bronchitis/pneumonia combination is serious. My brother had that and his lung capacity is 2% above having to carry an oxygen tank around with him. He almost died in the hospital the night he was admitted and now, he tires easily and at times has shortness of breath. Oddly, he still plays bagpipes! The steroids he has to take have messed him up too.

Seconded. I once worked with a guy who had the same diagnosis, but declined to not overdo it and basically ignored the doctors.

43 is far too young an age to leave a wife and three small kids behind you.

Take care of yourself, iouliared. It sounds like you'll be making a slow but sure recovery.

Thanks, and yeah, I realize I'm not a kid any more at 41 years of age. I was treated with a steroid the 1st trip to the doc's. Steroids are not your friend when you get older! At first I freaked out a bit, knowing people who didn't recover from their "cold" while in their 40's. Thank God I quit smoking. Wow, I didn't think about having both bronchitis and pneumonia, I just thought they misdiagnosed me with bronchitis when it was really pneumonia.Going to call the M.D. tomorrow. Thanks again for your concern.

Well, pneumonia is easier to beat than cancer and various and sundry other ailments. Glad you're just bringing up hairballs :)

I've had PNeu twice and it ain't fun, especially as an adult. However, as noted, it beats lots of other things. Take your med, and TAKE IT EASY! Things will improve if you let it. Best wishes for a fast and complete recovery.
