They found a pre-cancerous polyp while doing my colonoscopy 2 weeks ago so now I will go for a CAT scan this friday, said I have to pick up some prep material the day before the test, I guess I get to drink some more stuff, anyone know what this taste like? Better than sea water I hope? I think it is a contrast dye of some sort, will I be locked in the Loo all night like the last test?

Naw, the stuff they gave me was blue gatorade. About a liter-liter and a half, you drink it in a one hour period, a little bit at a time. Shouldn't be too bad.

The stuff they made me drink (about a month ago) was clear. It tasted nearly like water, just a hint of something in it. There was a lot of it, but it wasn't too much of a chore to guzzle. Good luck and Gesundheit.

Make sure they use a Siamese when they do the cat scan :) Good luck to you, from the veteran of a head cat scan. I'ts really kind of interesting to experience, btw.
