link I can think of several NFL teams off the top of my head that would benefit from this.

I am sure that by the time we are capable of doing it, the ethical nuances of having a woman bring a museum freak show/science fair project to term in her body will be a laughable non-issue. |

Are you sure it hasn't been done already? |

Do you think this should be a TMP poll? |

To what end? (That goes for both the poll question and the original query.) John: I am sure that by the time we are capable of doing it, the ethical nuances of having a woman bring a museum freak show/science fair project to term in her body will be a laughable non-issue. Nah. They'll just stick it in a pig or something. |

Do you think this should be a TMP poll? Sure. It's gonna be a long weekend, anyway. By the way, I've got a (half-kidding) personal theory/observation about this, and that is I think the Neanderthals didn't totally die out. Not to be mean-spirited or anything, but have y'all noticed some of these kids lately? Seems like there's an increasing amount of boys that begin growing facial hair in their preteens and have full beards and/or shadows by the time they graduate, not to mention the occasional 6-foot tall, "thick"-looking 11-14 year old. Perhaps all these years of dumping chemicals and hormones into our food supply triggered a dormant Neanderthal gene that some of us carry? *shrugs* |

I dunno, would Neanderthal chicks work wherever Murphy is working now? |

Of course we should. We could learn some stuff, and maybe wind up with someone to talk to that isn't exactly like us. -Kle. |

I went to school with several Neanderthals. |

Here's a couple of random thoughts: Would a Neanderthal be susceptible to all the techie trends and fads we've fallen prey to (like text messaging, MySpace, blogging, etc.)? A pickup game of touch football in a local park: "apes versus sapes". Just wonderin'. |

Could we possibly get GEICO to sponsor the project? |

I think the Neanderthal genes are still with us. I'm sure I've met some. I'm sure in the neolithic that the Homo Sapiens were separate from and hostile to the Neanderthals, as different language, ethnic, and cultural groups in the bronze age, but if human history teaches us anything its that even if two groups hate each other, some of them are sleeping together. Actually, as often as not its the ones who hate most who are secretly sleeping with the other side. So the odds that HS and N did *not* interbreed are pretty small, in my opinion. So the genes are still out there. Andrew |

If you ate a Neanderthal, would the act still be considered cannibalism? Odd question I know, but this came up in conversation recently in my circle of friends. (I have very strange friends.) |

If you ate a Neanderthal, would the act still be considered cannibalism? Nah. Probably still be illegal, though. -Kle. |
