I was really excited about it up until it was revealed that there's no cross-platform online multiplayer. So, my fellow zombie-fans in my regular RPG group and I can't play together. It moved way down my 'to get' list, sadly. But if I can get together with fellow TMPers…hm… Which begs the question, PC or 360? |

PC in my book. Its the Counterstrike Source upgraded….and naturally everything that Valve makes works out of the box unlike other companies :) It certainly has atmosphere. I got a look at the full release multiplayer boards on Youtube and there are "mission" style ones akin to the Unreal Tournament maps where you have to reach certain objectives through the round to win instead of just making it from A to B. There are about 5 people at work that are hooked already. We'll have a dedicated server up and running from launch as well. On Steam I am cloudcaptain too. Just send me a friend invite. |

Can't seem to find the demo itself. Do you have to buy the game to get the demo? And, if so, doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of having a demo in the first place? |

The free demo is on Steam (PC). Just download the Steam Client and you can get the demo with the first two boards. It should tide you over for a few more days :) This is one that a lot of reluctant gamers are going to be sorry they missed out on. |

Played the demo last night on normal, completed it first go. Then tried an online co-op with a mate on advanced (2 lvl of setting, then there is expert mode) and we got our backsides handed to us in small pieces on a silver platter (IE it was tough!). Going to try it with 3 players tonight and 1 AI survivor. Can't wait for the full game next week – looks great on a 22" monitor with everything set to high – which at first with the initial spec requirements I didn't think I'd be able to do – maybe not even run it! :-) |
