I just used an e-bay supplied coupon when paying for an auction via PayPal, but it occurred to me that they may be passing this discount on to the seller. Does PayPal eat the difference, or is it passed on to the seller? I'd hate to think the guy on the other end just got less for his auction because e-bay gave me an incentive. Does anybody know how this works? |

Ebay/Paypal do – they can't offer you a "discount" on someone else's goods, they have to honour the coupon. |

Paypal eats it, as Dom says. If you look at the transaction, it will show you sent the full amount to the seller, even if you paid slightly less on your end. |
