Maybe the WWI folks or someone on this board can help -- I'm searching for a boardgame I remember seeing once upon a time that was a sort of World War I variant on Axis & Allies -- same style map and rules (as far as I could tell from the package) and lots of plastic playing pieces, including those funny WWI tanks. I'm feeling sorry now I didn't pay more attention to it at the time -- I've had a recent hankering to pick up something like this, only now I can't trace it. Any clues? |

I think it was one of the A&A variants from Xeno Games |

Boardgamegeek is your friend, though not sure if this is the specific game: "Central Powers, Axis & Allies Variant- This game adds 200 new color matched plastic pieces and directions on how to play this WWI version. When playing Central Powers you use the original Axis & Allies game board
" boardgamegeek.com/game/10170 There's also "War to End All Wars- WWI Axis & Allies Variant," that only adds new rules: boardgamegeek.com/game/29259 |

That's it! "Central Powers!" Thanks! I had been searching in boardgamegeek but my searches for "World War I" weren't producing this particular item. Merci beaucoup! |

I'll start looking for the Central Powers set to turn up on ebay now. But what I din't understand is why there are no cute little biplane models included. What, no air forces at all in this game variant? |

I believe Guild of Blades produce A&A variants for WWI, under the Empires of History line. |
