And they have his body in a freezer:

" Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer, a pair of Bigfoot-hunting hobbyists from north Georgia, say they found the creature's body in a wooded area and spotted several similar creatures that were still alive.

The carcass of the furry half-man, half-ape is 7 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs more than 500 pounds, they say. However, the two are not disclosing the exact location of their discovery to protect the remaining creatures."

There is supposed to be a press conference releasing DNA evidence today at noon PST.

I always suspect events like these where authorities are not called in ASAP. The longer someone sites on something like this the more it "smells"

You have a typo – that should be "bigfoot" body found…

The carcass of the furry half-man, half-ape is 7 feet, 7 inches tall…

Are our basketball players all accounted for? grin

I saw a closeup of the face, looked fake. And I agree with Saber6, this is not the first time we have heard this song and dance.

Something unsavory about the whole busniness…

Andrew Walters15 Aug 2008 5:13 p.m. PST

This is completely stupid. No in situ pictures, three accounts of the discovery, its awful. The DNA will turn out to be bear or something. It may not be a fake, in the sense that it may not be deliberate.

I hope the DNA test is being conducted with some rigor.

And the news conference was a big nothing. Oh my, I'm shocked, shocked I tell you.

jpattern215 Aug 2008 8:01 p.m. PST

No kidding. Ten-to-one the body "disappears" or is "stolen" before any reputable scientists get a chance to examine it.

Obviously a hoax. Found in North Georgia and no one had a BBQ recipe for it? If it exists in those mountains some one hunts and eats it…

Jake – "Found in North Georgia and no one had a BBQ recipe for it?"

The tough part about pickling Bigfeet is finding a large enough jar.
