I have a search that's been running successfully for a while, but is not failing. It searches the Other Miniature Wargames category, & specifically excludes a number of terms I'm not interested in. It has no terms that I want to include, I just want everything that doesn't match the exclusion terms. But now when the search runs, I get this error: Please enter a keyword you would like to search for followed by the terms you'd like to remove. Example: shoes -nike It sounds like the search function changed to require an inclusion term now. Strange thing is that when my automated search results were emailed to me this morning around 6AM, the search seemed to work. It returned about 350 results. But now when I try to run the search interactively, if fails. Does anyone know what the problem might be? Thanks |

Xintao 14 Sep 2008 9:08 p.m. PST Apparently your not allowed to filter out the crap you don't want. I think you got it dead on. Under the old system, I had four really great search categories including unwanted crap. When they went to this new system, I lost all four. I'm starting to get really, really annoyed with ebay. At sometime in the future, like Lemmings, we'll all join the great race into the ocean (another site). Someone with smarts will note the weaknesses of Ebay and create a site without them. |
