>ATTN An Iraqi made a fixed deposit of 44.5m usd in my bank branch and he dead with his entire family leaving behind no next of kin,am ready to share 50/50 with you if you choose to stand as my deceased client next of kin. Pls indicate by sending the following below to show your interest. 1.YOUR NAME 2.YOUR RESIDENT ADDRESS 3.YOUR OCCUPATION 4.YOUR PHONE NUMBER 5.DATE OF BIRTH 6.COUNTRY OF RESIDENT Your response with the requested information should be sent to reach me at my personal email address below: peterwonghk1990@yahoo.com.hk Yours Truly, Sir. peter wong.< At least that's the impression I get from the above phrasing. After all there's no claim that this money has been left in my name, that I'm the deceased relative etc. Nope, all I have to do is claim I was the dead guy's next of kin, and the crooked bank employee will split the cash with me. |

You can't be his only surviving relative – I am!!! The law is funny about how it interprets what is meant rather than what is said in adverts, proposals, etc. A guy posted an ad in a magazine some years back stating "This is your last chance to send $10 USD to me at PO Box ###" The judge found him guilty of fraud, even though the guy's lawyer argued that the ad made no promise of anything in return, and as the ad was only being run once, it was in fact the last chance to send money to his client at that address. |

"if you choose to stand as my deceased client next of kin." My first reading of that was that you were being asked to stand as the client next of kin who is deceased. Which given the information Mr. Wong will have, could easily happen. |
