Heading to Peoria on business week of August 5-8. Wondering if there's any clubs, stores or other groups that wouldn't mind letting a relative stranger push lead with them one of those evenings. |

There was a store last time I was there but I was too busy to do more than stop in for a short visit. I wish I could give you name and addy but all I remember is that it was down the street from my hotel. I think the guy had been to The Egyptian Campaign as a dealere a few times at least and that he had a big cat that laid around on the counter. |

;P right back at you. 8^) However if you find it there is a decent chinese restaurant near by. If I recall correctly it was a Days Inn in East Peoria. It was near the Ameren linemen dispatch center, not the office downtown but out to the east. I know my info sucks but it is more than you had. Seriously have a good time and good luck hunting it down. |

In Peoria, IL. there is a hobby shop across the road from northwoods mall. Its called Just For Fun. Mike just moved the shop there a couple weeks ago. Its alot bigger in stock and gaming tables. Strangers are more than welcome to come in a push lead. If not, then they would never let me in. hahaha. the numer is (309) 686-7720. I was at the shop earlier this evening. Mike reads the posts on here so I'm surprised he hasn't posted on here yet?? |

topkick890 sounds like your talking about The Game Room in Washington, IL. Its probably a 20 minute drive from Peoria. The owner Dave is now semi-retired but his son runs the shop. Dave's son moved the shop to the square area of the town. Which is just about a mile further down the road from where it was at before. At its old location is was next door to a chines restraunt and Dave did have a cat there. |

Here's some more "less than helpful" info. I remember a shop in someone's basement on the outskirts of town. You had to drive up a winding gravel road to get there, and it's barely signed. BUT, they had a LOT of OOP & hard to find stuff. It' sbeen years since I went there, though, so no idea if it still exists
Any of the locals know what I'm on about? |
