It works great for my power tools. link Cars that run on compressed air. I love the design of the rotary engine at the end. I wonder if you could put that in side the wheel of a scooter or motorcycle? LLC aka Ron |

Been waiting for these to make an appearance. Saw something about a compressed air powered car from Europe about 4 years ago. By the time they are for sale I will be ready for one. |

800 miles is 100 MPG I wonder if that is true on all the fuels they list? |

A local fellow has been experimenting with pneumatic cars for several years. So far his biggest problem has been getting them to operate well during less than 25 degrees Farenheit cold weather as moisture in the line condenses. |

Gee cory, I thought the problem would be the horse trailer |

I find it a little hard to reconcile "
The car's compressed air tank can be refilled in about 3 minutes from a service station." with "
compressed air in carbon fiber tanks at 4500 psi." as I don't know of any service station that runs their compressor at 4500psi. This would mean getting stations to buy new equipment – and that's sort of against their interest in this case. On the other hand, you could run your airbrush off your car

And their slogan will be "Tatas for everyone!" Bill, that joke is so bad, you should dawghouse yourself. |

I'll believe it when they pass the safety specs. High mileage depends upon some combination of low power and low weight. Low power is generally unacceptable to the US public (and as a result can be dangerous), and safety equipment is the enemy of low weight. Of course, a high enough purchase price can overcome these things. -Kle. |

There are already small vehicles and forklifts running on compressed air working in places like indoor fruit markets where you obviously want 0 emissions. |

I doubt it is a silver bullet, but I find it an interesting new technology. As to safety concerns, I think the frame of Forumla 1 race cars are light but the driver survives quite nicely. I bet they can make it safe enough for American safety standards. LLC aka Ron |

How long to fill the tank with a foot pump? ;-D I am looking forward to these cars as I cover high milages and the cost of fuel is getting too high. |

1 tank of air + 8 gallons of gas = 848 mile range OR 1 tank of air + 8 gallons of gas = Fuel Air Bomb. I think I'll wait. And don't park that thing near my house, thanks. |

If my understanding is correct, the compressed air Tatas are mostly designed as town runabouts, like the little Min-sized experimentals that American companies used to make in the 60s as a joke/consideration to the urban future take your pick; They would probably serve to replace conventional taxis in a lot of cities quite well. |
