I would like to publicly thank Gallowglass, Germy Bleeped text, and (if he is still lurking about, unseen) BangorStu for their assistance for my recent trip to England, Wales, and Dublin.

Scheduling only permitted me to meet up with Germy Bleeped text in London, but their information was very helpful in making my trip a success.

Just a handful of photos can be found here:

Looks like you had a great trip! Thanks for all of the pictures. I always try to hit Warwick Castle when I travel to Britain (it is close to Birmingham, where I have friends I visit). I have only been to Caernarfon once – maybe if we make it over next summer (which we are hoping to do).

Edward had promised the Welsh princes, as part of a peace agreement, that he would name a Welshman Prince of Wales. He supposedly moved his wife Caernarfon deliberately so his son would be born a "Welshman", and could be named Prince of Wales.

Were you able to make it to Hay-on-Wye?

No, my tour started with 7 days in London, then 2.5 days in the Cheddar region of Somerset, 2.5 days in Stratford-upon-Avon/Warwick, 3 days in Northern Wales, a quick ferry ride to Dublin for 3 days. and finally return to London for one last day before flying home.

Haven't made it to Ireland yet. Hope to at some point.

Well, seems you saved the best guinness for last. Lucky man, thanks for the pictures.

Nice Pictures!
Thanks for sharing.
Love the Welsh names, they really need to "buy a vowel" or two…
