What on earth is up with these ID's? I can see one or two, but this is so pervasive it smacks of some kind of weirdness
I posted links to some of the higher bid ones for TMP to take a look, but it caught my attention on a small auction I was considering bidding on tonight. I mean, they seem to be legit due to the number of transactions some iof them have, but
. weird

Found out in a thread on this sight. Had not been to eBay in a while and just thought it weird, did not know about the change. |

ebay scrambles your id regardless of the bid now. It will appear normal to you though. |

"To help keep the eBay community safe, enhance bidder privacy, and protect our members from fraudulent emails, eBay has changed how User IDs display on the bid history page. Only you and the seller of the item can view your User ID, all other members will see anonymous user IDs, such as x***y." I found this on the first link, right at the top of the page. |
