Well, Hasbro continues its campaign to conquer the universe one game at at a time:

I can't believe that Trivial Pursuit is worth $80 USD million.

It's much easier to buy a failing franchise than it is to create a new money maker.

Does this mean I will finally be able to get Transformers/Star Wars/Lord of the Rings StrategoMonopoHungryHungryHippoTwisterPursit?

And people on this board call GW the evil empire. I have long contended that if you are rolling dice, moving tokens or using playing cards, odds are it's a Hasbro product.

I used to play that game 25 years ago.
Hearing that Hasbro bought it is like hearing that a bar I used to go to at Penn State was torn down to make a parking lot.

Hasbro bought my hobby and all I got was a poor imitation of it.

Do people still actually play Trivial Pursuit?

I can see that Hasbro would be real popular with horse dealers. Or parrot salesmen.

Was nothing else left in the bar?

Hasbro has developed, marketed and sold Trivial Pursuit under a license since 1983.

Won't really make much difference.

I don't see why this is an issue? Trivial Pursuit is still played by LOTS of "normal" people (you know, those silly kids who've never heard of Catan or Rio Grande Games).
