Can anyone translate the following into Arabic please. "Mount of Pines" This will be the name of the fictional battle that the Ilkley Lads will be putting on at Sheffield Triples next year. Thanks in advance, James |

I'll ask my wife since Arabic is her first language. Just to clarify, when you say "mount" you refer to a mountain, correct? Also, I assume "pines" refers to pine trees. Therfore, you are looking for a translation of "mountian covered by pine trees." I've learned that you need to be very precise when asking for translations into Arabic. Matt |

Double check this, as I am still learning Arabic, but I would translate it as "jebel mamtawbar". |

Now that I think about it, I'd add an indefinate article to it because it works as a "noun in construct"

Just checked with my wife and she says that Mountain of Pine should be translated as "Jebel Al Snobor." Snobor should be pronounced as snow-burrr. She doesn't understand what mamtawbar is supposed to be--it's not a word she recognizes (and she is an Arab who was born and raised in Kuwait until age 21.) -Matt |

cant argue with a native. Jebel Alsonoborat would be the plural (mount of pines). (its a HARD s sound) |
