I was just vreading about the copyright recovery of the Superman creator's family – which mentioned a 1976 laew that has provisions for someone (or heirs) to recover a copyright in some situations. I am trying to find a reference on this as I have been involed with trying to help the family of a WW2 personage recover the rights to a book which his wife sold off for next to nothing years ago and is is sitting idle as the publishers try and hold it for ransome. Anyone know about this? |

There are numerous reports on this, and a quick google search turns up lots of facts. Start here for more on Superboy: link Here for Superman (the whole article has some good stuff on the years in which you can file): link This looks promising: link Good luck! |

thanks, tha answered my question that it all stems from you making a sale of the copyright for 56 years, then later find it has been extended for X more yers. |
