Holy flog! I was looking to see if I could find a chocolate Jesus much like the chocolate rabbits. I actually found a chocolate disk with His likeness on it picture (and there's one of Mary as well) but Google presented me with this first: msnbc.msn.com/id/11669242 Apparently someone thought it'd would be a good idea to display a 1:1 scale, anatomically correct, naked diety nailed to a pair of crossed sticks. There are way more complete photos all over the web but you'll have to look for them yourself. The show has been cancelled, but there is no word on who was going to eat the chocolate. As an apology for searing that mental image into your brain, I offer you (guys) a completely different chocolate-dipped figure: picture Wyatt |

Ok, let's try the same image from a different source: picture If direct linking is blocked (its not for me), just google "Fergie chocolate." Wyatt |

I think its clever. Some people just don't get art. It wasn't meant to be offensive, it was meant to provoke thought about what easter is about. Easter has turned into something commercial, with the majority of the population more concerned about chocolate eggs and the easter bunny. having a chocolate christ is great satire. |

LOL. I was thinking of doing an entire line of chocolate Mohammads. What do you think? Should I send OBM my first batch for his approval? CC |

This is just about on a par with the "Crochet Christ for Christmas" ad. I saw in a US craft magazine once – I kid you not! |

I think CnC has it nailed. There are a lot of "Christians" out there who laughed or at least were "surprised" by the reaction of many Muslims over the portrayal of the prophet Mohammad in a Danish cartoon a few years back are probably outraged at this. Why is my question? Are you that insecure in your faith to maybe try and see some other meaning in what the artist is trying to show? As a Christian I find the first image far more offensive. Like the "Bible Action Figures" line and so many other attempts at hawking religious (any religion) items to promote "the faith". A lot of it appears as cheap hucksterism. |

The Koran, if I recall correctly, forbids the depiction of Mohammad at all – comical or otherwise. That's why they are offended – nothing to do with wavering faith. |
