Been ages since I played the 3rd edition but remember many optimal Russian set ups were available. I have the newish 4th edition by L2 Design Group and wonder if anyone has an optimal Russian set up for the 1941 campaign game or a link to set ups. Failing that anyone have any from the old 3rd edition?

Thanks!

Try the Russian Campaign heading on Web Grognards, Boardgame Geek, and Consimworld. I'm sure that there is a lot of stuff at all three of those site as that is a very popular game.

Thanks, I should have mentioned checked those. One fairly good article on the Vipurri Defense II.

I have both editions,

This is my favourite boardgame of all time.

It is a good players game though suffers from accuracy on things like the OB. I got a great deal on the 4th edition. L2 was having a sale on some of their "seconds". The box top was slightly bowed, not sure if due to pressure caused by stacking or what but otherwise in mint condition, unpunched. They threw in the Southern expansion and if I remember free shipping! Pays to get on their mailing list as they sometimes have some very good sales.
