I noticed a while back that a lot of TMPers bicycle as part of thier fitness program. Here's a great video for you or actually anyone you know who drives a car.

Great link! I can think of a few places to pass it on to.

This is one of the biggest problems transportational cyclists face. Actually, motorcycles and scooters have the same problem – cars just don't see you because they are looking for other cars. Anything smaller is beneath notice.

The solution is to make yourself noticeable – bright yellow jacket, flashing lights (front and back – even during light), reflective material and predictive riding. There is even a theory of bicycle infrastructure where bike lanes or arrows (known as "sharrows") are painted on the roadways not to encourage cyclists to ride there, but for motorists to notice the signs so they will expect cyclists about.
