does that mean it's another 'card game' or will it have plastic minis like STARCRAFT, DOOM and several others??? Now THAT I could go for!!! but doesn't WIZKIDS already have a CCG of BSG and the folks that did the SERENITY rpg are doing a BSG role-playing game???? I can use titanium fleet ships, or 'Galatics and Xylons' from Bergstrom for 'fleet actions'
but that's besides the point

Whats a "cooperative game?" Cooperative elements are sometimes found in eurogames where players are not battling each other but are playing against a common foe. Fantasy Flights Lord of the Rings game is a cooperative game that states: "The Lord of the Rings board game is a unique and original game in which players must work together to defeat the game itself, a daunting task that will challenge even the most experienced players. The cooperative play style immerses players into the game, cheering their success and cursing the foul turns of fate that hinder their quest." link |

Cooperative games should be played as roleplaying games. They don't really belong in traditional boardgameland. |

Cooperative games should be played as roleplaying games. They don't really belong in traditional boardgameland. Huh? How would the LotR boardgame possibly be played as an RPG? I like the boardgame. It often seems as if many cooperative boardgames have you cooperate with your 'friends' only to stab them in the back later in the game so you can win. I never like that in a game. |

Ok, read the release. Looks like it's the old "one of my friends is my enemy so I'll have to knife him in the back before he knifes me in the back." I think I'll pass, especially since such games need many players to work properly--not a good two or three player game! |

Sounds like Shadows over Avalon, one of the players is actually the Black knight working against the rest. Some classic board games are co-operative, Shadows over Avalon, Arkham Horror, the LOTR board game. The biggist complaint I can give against co-operative board games is that they all take several hours to play, therre is no such thing as a quick game. |

@WW2Fanatik Actually, that would be, "I hope they don't frak it up

"Sounds like Shadows over Avalon, one of the players is actually the Black knight working against the rest. " It does sound like Shadows Over Camelot. I've found that FFG game 'originals' are usually not very original and not well playtested. Nice 'bits', though. |

The name BSG will cause initial sales. A game with good mechanics will sell well and last a long time. |

Actually, it could be like Republic of Rome
