Well, the birth got a bit scary with a few complications but mother and baby are both doing well.

I now have a new project to work on. Unfortunately I expect it's going to get in the way of some of the others :(

For those who are remotely interested, I've added a new project set to my photo sets link

Congratulations, fatherhood can be tough at time, but it is the most rewarding thing you will ever do in your life.

Congratulations! The new project may get in the way of some others, but it has many, many rewards.

lovely. Congratulations and best wishes. Don't worry about the "other projects", you'll be able to squeeze them in after a while.

Congrats! When I first read your message, I thought that you had gotten paternity test results back! ;-)

I am a new dad too. It is a ton of work, but they will become the highlight of your day.

Good luck!

She's a little cutie. She will seem a little rough on you for about a year but then it starts getting good.

And as a parent of a boy and a girl you are glad you had the girl first….

CONGRATS next week my boy will be 6 months. It's a bit rough the first 3 months or so. Then you will start to get into a routine and they will start to sleep through the night. I am just now getting to paint my miniatures again. LOL

When the start to smile it's all worth it.

Good Luck ……………Doug

BTW my boys name is Alexander.

pphalen31 Jan 2008 9:07 a.m. PST

Wow doug, you're lucky!
My eldest just turned 7 and I'm still waiting for a nice sleeping routine from him…

Dewbakuk31 Jan 2008 9:17 a.m. PST

At the moment, she's doing a fair amount of sleeping between feeds. Only a few hours but she's pretty good compared to a few of my friends kids.

Heh, It's amazing how many Alex's have turned up recently :)

Fat Wally31 Jan 2008 10:25 a.m. PST

…Trust me, it won't last.

My daughter is 15 months old and my son is due in four weeks! I'm the 'stay at home Dad' now. Bloody hard work but so rewarding.

Congtatulations and welcome to the 'club'.

SheWolf31 Jan 2008 10:51 a.m. PST

Awwww…. she's so cute!

Congrats! Just wait. It won't be long before you can start her gaming, then painting.

Oh, and go ahead and get that shotgun.

GoodBye31 Jan 2008 11:52 a.m. PST

Beautiful bit of modeling! Rest when you can and enjoy.

Randall31 Jan 2008 2:13 p.m. PST

Congratulations!

How long until [TMP] starts keeping track of generations? I think we have some 2nds here now, but I don't think we have any 3rds.

My son and daughter won't be posting for a few years yet (though they'd be happy to pound on the keys, I'm not sure their posts would be legible--maybe set them free on the CA board? They can't read yet either, so I wouldn't have to censor…).

Anyway, yes, Alexandra is a cutie. Congrats again!

CraigSpiel31 Jan 2008 5:36 p.m. PST

An absolute Angel! Congrats!

Col Scott01 Feb 2008 3:01 a.m. PST
