hi
i have now got a spare room in the house and was going to turn it into a games room, with a 10ft by 6ft games table, there is a neuk in the corner which has double doors and will do as a painting area. the table will fold away and a pool table will be left.

i am now looking to deecorate, i am thinking wooden floor and plain white walls, with some military art work, i have some lady butler prints of waterloo and the crimea, any other suggestions of artists, famous photos etc, i find teh frank hurley picture from chateau wood haunting, and was thinking of images of that sort, but i have no idea where to get prints like that.

thanks
jon

I have maps and framed photos of our latest trip to Spain:

We spent a lot of time visiting and photographing a lot of the Moorish sites.

If you do naval games, usni.org/store/index.asp has some fine prints in the "Shop Online" section.

I have the movie poster from Forbidden Planet and the poster celebrating episode 1 of Futurama (both nicely matted and framed) up on my walls.
As well, I have the cover art from Dark Knight (the original comic cover, not the one used).
The walls are currently panelled in dark, but I paln to paint them white.
The floors are covered in orange shag rug, which I'll keep, for "conservation of endangered species" reasons.

Our game room is decorated with promotional posters from game companies. We get them free at the conventions each summer, and change them out from time to time. It gives the room a nice casual, relaxed feel. I save the "real" artwork for the livingroom and the non-gamer guests.

A good friend of mine decorates with framed movie posters he picks up on ebay.

I have always toyed with the idea of buying copies of famous photos from the national archives.

A flat screen digital TV mounted on the wall where you can see it and listen to it while you paint is simply grand.

I got some Uniformology prints of 18th Century soldiers and framed one, may do another. I bought the prints from On Military Matters since Uniformology has a very spotty record with retail sales.
