Just a "heads-up" for UK members – I've started to get a lt of e-mails purporting to come from the Nat West Bank and HSBC, asking for updated details.

As usual, they look very convincing.

The HSBC has a dedicated e-mail for forwarding phishing scams to, it's phishing@hsbc.com

"I've started to get a lt of e-mails"

You've only just started geting them? I've been getting them for years … fortunately, since I switched to Googlemail, spam like that is a thing of the past for me.

never respond to these no matter how official looking. Always log into your account at the bank or credit card site and not through an email link.

There has been another rash of Paypal and Bank of American ones lately too.

There is a Royal Bank scam going around Canada as well. I got an email and I haven't had a Royal Bank account for over 5 years!

I get the Nat West one daily, and I've never had a Nat West account.

Although, come to think of it, I've never had one from the bank I do have an account with.

Likewise, I've been getting Barclays and Abbey National a lot.

I have been getting the above and a Paypal one.
Which looked half decent to be honest.

And some for a bigger pen1s too……….

Canadian Pharmacy seems to be the commonest one I get.

And pretty little Russian girls.

I used to report the e-mails to the bank but I'm getting so many now that I don't bother. People just shouldn't be clicking on the links in the e-mail.

Wooo – just got 137 Halifax and Natwest scam e-mails in one day! Broke my personal record!
