I thought I had seen a website, last year, that had top down views of French and Prussian/German units
Line Infantry, Cavalry, etc. I did find "Paper Soldiers for Junior Generals", but it doesn't look like the site I remember. I'm getting back to painting 10mm FPW minis for V&B, but it will take a while. I also want to use the paper soldiers to learn to play 1870 and Chassepot & Needle gun. Anybody know of a good site? Thanks Joe |

link The Continental Wars Society ran a paper armies game at SALUTE a few years back, they evidentally had a book with them in. Contact Ralph Weaver for more info?

Thanks for the info guys; I'll check the sites out. My FPW rule book collection gets larger each day, I just remembered that I also have "They Died for Glory" and "Ever Victorious Armies". I really need to play some of these some day. Joe |

Tried "They Died For Glory" for the first time last week with a friends 15mm. Used the Wissembourg Scenario. Rules flowed OK but the scenarion didn't seem too well balanced. I'm building up 10mm FPW. I'm basing for Principles of War on 30 x 15mm bases so I'm putting 7 infantry figures a base. hoprfully I'll also be able to use them for Barkers HFG and TDFG with a roster sheet. link |

Very good stuff J.S. Nicely done. My 10mm are from Perrin Minis and I'm basing them for Volley and Bayonet on 3" x 3" bases. Each stand is a Regiment. If I could post a photo here, I'd put some on so you could see. I have about 18 figures on each stand, including command. My goal is to start with the St. Privat scenario in V&B. I will be playing the Wissembourg Scenario in "They Died for Glory" and 1870, with my paper soldiers to start. I'm leaning towards getting 6mm for the 1870 rules and stay with 10mm for T.D.F.G. Umm; I also have several packs of 25mm for Chassepot & Needle Gun and Ever Victorious Armies. Guess I'll have to pick up Principles of War too. Good gaming; Joe |

CSW were saying at the time they'd try and help people interested in accessing the paper figures |

Wissembourg, with a single French division trying to stave off a German Army, is never going to be a very balanced scenario, but should get you started on the mechanics of a rule set. Of course, very few of the 1870 historical scenarios are going to be very well balanced
