Has anyone here heard of such a medal? It would be similar to the green and white medal issued to U.S. Servicemembers by the Republic of South Vietnam. I heard rumor of it when I served in Afghanistan in 2005. - George |

I think he is talking about a medal awarded by the Government of Afghanistan, not the use. Like the Kuwaiti Liberation Medal from Desert Storm. But I haven't heard any more details on it either. |

74EFS Intel: That's correct. I wasn't asking about the campaign ribbon to which you linked, but something awarded by the Government of Afghanistan. I recall hearing about it when I was in Kabul, but I've not heard a peep about it since I got back. Anyway, I suppose it may not happen. - George |
