The GW out-of-print board game: The Battle for Armageddon and expansion Chaos Attacks are free on GW site link |

They've actually been there for some time. I downloaded them a number of months ago; the only reason I haven't used them yet is that I have a backlog of paper models demanding my precious printer ink

Could these be used for any minis system or do they require W40K? |

AFAIK it is a stand alone boardgame, ie. there are no rules included for combining it with 40K or Epic. Griefbringer |

I think it is an old boardgame – separate from 40K. |

Yep, its a large scale board game covering a large area of the planet (possibly a whole continent). E.g. One chit is a whole Space marine chapter. |

I've got all the originals in primo condition, inlcuding the White Dwarf Insert w/the Final Battle between the Emperor and the Eye Guy
Though I think I'm missing the game that has to do with Dwarves
or something like it. |

Thanks for the link. I have "Doom of the Eldar" and "Horus Heresy" (and like Andrew, the WD mini-game), but I never picked up "Armageddon." Free+ink may be worth it, though. :) |

"AFAIK it is a stand alone boardgame, ie. there are no rules included for combining it with 40K or Epic." The game is standalone, but the Chaos Attack expansion does include optional rules for using it as a campaign system for 40k & Epic. |

So GW is giving something away or are they just too laxy to print it themselves? I have all three of the originals, plus Chaos Attack, plus the Horus supplement. Years ago, I sliced up up old White Dwarfs at the time to make sure I had nice copies of the game supplements. Maybe one of these days I will get back around to playing it once again. |
