I have posted a photo slide show of my first battle in Scimitar Wargames Club's Punic War Campaign on my website.

The campaign is using the Commands & Colors: Ancients system from GMT Games, but we are gaming using large boards and miniatures.

In the campaign, I'm running a Republican Roman army, and in my first battle I was facing a Carthaginian army – so a fairly 'standard' match up for the first game.

You can find the battle report by visiting my website and following the link on the front page:

For those interested, the figures being used are Hat Industries 1/72 plastics, using the same basing convention as for 25mm DBA.

C&C rules are just for the battles? What sort of campaign rules are you using – would be interested to read an article on that and how you organise it.

Thanks for the link (will looksee when I get home!)

I am also interested in the campaign set-up.

Gee,I'm a speed reader but I got a headache trying to keep up with that slide show. Slow it down please and let us enjoy the spectacle.

Good stuff, Neil! I would love to see the campaign rules as well.

Well I would have read that with interest, but the slides whizz by at 1.5 seconds each!

Very impressive.

How many boxes of HaT figures did you need for this?

Did you manage to buy the Command Cards separately or did you buy the whole game?

Thanks.

I recognise the terrain from the SOA Games day last year in Milton Keynes, hi! My friend Ian ran one of the other C&C games. Looks like a fun game; I must take photos of one of ours and try to give it the same treatment. Simon

ps slideshow was a little fast…
