OK, for all you fellow home improvement types, how many of you have done at least one of these:

(1) I've turned the wrong breaker off while changing an electrical outlet. Shocked myself a bit.

(2) I decided to take down the paper from the bath exhaust before the paint on the bathtub dried. That was really stupid.

(3) I was sick in bed, but my wife wanted to finish the custom shower I built. I cut the tiles and she laid them but forgot to clean the thinset in between the tiles. To this day, the tiles look like crap.

(4) In the same shower, I laid down a layer of thinset mortar to dry. Of course, you need a smooth finish on it or it might pierce the plastic. The cat decided to walk across it several times before it dried.

(5) There's nothing worse than painting a room a wrong color at night. I meant to paint a room white but instead painted it blue because neither can was labeled and I couldn't see the difference that late in the day.

(6) My wife's father bought us a very nice toilet, but it turned out to be the wrong size. Of course, we didn't realize that until 6 months later when we finally tried to install it. No reciept and no box as we threw it out. Stupid mistake.

I can't tell you how many times I've seen people melt their vinyl siding with the barbecue.

LOL!

I've seen the gas grill/vinyl siding issue three times in my subdivision alone!

I've demonstrated several times that no electrical task is complete unless I've electocuted myself at least once.

I don't do electricity for that very reason. Changing light bulbs, plugging an unplugging are it for me.

I let my brother do most of that crap. He is very good at it. No issues here.

I am usually pretty good at the home repair thing, but mowing the lawn got me once.

I was on my riding mower mowing near the gas meter while a cute blond drove toward me in a red convertible. A totally hot babe. I paid too much attention to her and not enough to the gas meter. I ran right into the durn thing. Knocked it half off the pipes. You guessed it, the pipe between the house and meter is the one that broke. Here I am with gas running through the meter, numbers flying right along, nice smell of gas spreading.

I race into the house and called the gas company. They say they will be right out. I grab a roll of duct tape and race back out to make a hasty repair while waiting for the gas company to arrive. The repair worked so well the gas company guy thought he had come to the wrong house. It seems silver duct tape blends into old gas line like a charm. :-)

Always remember duct tape fixes everything, at least until the gas company can arrive to do it right.
