Beowulf is basically Kingdoms with a different board for each of the 3 rounds & some new tiles with special powers. I enjoyed Kingdoms, so am interested in Beowulf. But with it retailing for $35, & 2nd hand copies of Kingdoms going for $15, I don't know if the extra $20 USD is justified. Has anyone tried both & can they comment on how much the special tiles change things. I do enjoy "screw your neighbor" games & that's what most of the special tiles seem to do. |
