My brother-in-law (deployed in Iraq) told me there's a new wrinkle on the Nigerian scam. This involves a soldier in the (non-existent) 3rd Armored Cavalry regiment who has got hold of a bunch of Saddam's money and needs your help to get it out of the country. |

3rd Cav is no more??? My heart is broken; I was assigned to that ACR as a lieutenant. |

Hmm. I just went out and checked. The 3rd ACR apparently still does exist, at least from the dates of the news items on their home page and current staff list. |

But only for the non-existance of 3rd Armored Cavalry regiment. The scam exists it's appeared in my email bulk box more than once. x42 |

I cant understand how any one would even read any of these emails past the first lines let alone think they are real and falling for them. but sadly to say there must be or they would stop making them |

Yes, I saw this variant reported a while back. I think UltraOrk is right about the movie inspiration. |
