Is there anyone out there who reminds you of Angus McBride's style?

The Perry Twins style is similar.

The surviving Embletons, Christia Hook. The main difference is the lack of gratuitous errors in their painting such as rubber band bow strings, which McBride was famous for in certain circles.

Without doubt, Colin Patten,Angus,Osprey and Colin, were talking of a project together before he sold GB

Peter Dennis. Check out his work on the upcoming Field of Glory books for Osprey.

Tom of Finland. Similar tastes for scantily clad, muscular male torsos and a eerily similar style. Tom has a touch more of thing for leather than Angus did but hey apart from that I wonder whether Angus didn't paint another name for a different market.

Maybe Christopher Rothero (esp. Crecy/Poitiers, Agincourt, & Scottish/Welsh Wars)- the body mass seemed similar, but his colors seemed more vivid (darker?). Maybe it was the printing, but some of Mcbride's color looked lighter/fainter? than his.
