Some spammers are really persistent, sending three messages in the last few days (note, the "x's" don't appear in the original message, but are too numerous to delete, and the spacing got messed up on copying and pasting here for some reason).

Fortunately, since I don't have a BofA account, there really isn't an issue.

I get those from all kinds of banks, and I always send them on to the bank in question so they know it's going on. Quite often I get a polite thank you, plus tips on how to handle e-mails like this one.

Some banks have stuff like this on their website, some just tell you to delete it, others ask to send it to their security dept.

I generally copy them to the relevant bank. Latest one was supposed to be from PayPal saying that there was unusual foreign activity on my account, and could I click onto the link to check.

Always worth an extra warning about these guys, thatnks.

I was hit by at least 50 of these, all from banks and stores I have never dealt with, before they eventually hit on a local financial institution that I had dealt with.

Obviously they sent out thousands and the local bank took it pretty seriously in terms of informing customers and reminding them 'we will never ask for your passwords like this'.

Also Pay Pal and my bank use my full name on any email. I get tons of these each week.

never click on an email on an account. Always go to the log in page directly and check out your account. If the bank or PP has a message for you it will be apparent.

Just like the early days of the PP spoofs (one was paypai.com which I thought was pretty inventive), the new ones spoof banks with pretty accurate looking messages.
