I'd go with Conan the Adventurer and the Berserker. Cat Girl is great too! What say you? |

The death dealer one with the axe above his head. The one that was on the cover of the prisoner of the horned helmet book, among other things. |

Death Dealer sitting on horse has to be the iconic Frazetta painting to me. Even liked the Samurai Cat version :-) |

The man's a genius. Too many to really choose, but, as others have said, I think Death Dealer is one of his most iconic paintings. I also always liked Spiderman: picture Not one of his most popular paintings, and in fact many fantasy fans have never seen it or heard of it, but I love the composition. If you're a Frazetta fan, you owe it to yourself to rent or buy the DVD "Painting with Fire": imdb.com/title/tt0363621 |

As a former 1-67 Armor member (the Death Dealers) it has to be Death Dealer (surprise!) The BN Gave the painting to III Corps which used it as the Phantom Corps logo. |

The Fighting Man of Mars is mine. I just love the atmospherics of the whole thing. Evocative and Brooding. |

I like his B&W art best, it reveals the true skill of the man – form, texture and composition just defined bey a pen. Apeman or Sheba are just examples of true skill. |

My all-time favorite: picture picture There are six paintings (and as many ink sketches) of the DD, but the original remains the best of the lot: picture picture picture "Getting to the bottom of things, I see." Another perfectly posed Frazettic girl: picture If paradise included her, I would go in and never emerge: picture Centaur envy: picture The first Frazetta I remember noticing, which set the tone and standard for all that followed: picture Holy shmuck! I first saw this one last year and wish I had a print (a BIG one): picture 1066.us |

Call me a philistine or a perv ;), but except for the t&a aspect his art doesn't do anything for me, same for Boris Vallejo (although of the two I prefer Frazetta) or pretty much any other fantasy art. |

Hank, well, the T&A aspect is predominant, I confess. But the SETTINGS! my friend, the settings are what display those essentials to best effect. I think you are underrating the effect of Frazetta's settings for T&A. Also, T&A alone, without the rest of the feminine anatomy to string them together, are just not worthy of notice. Frazetta's appreciation of the exuberant, lush, exotic, ripe, abundant feminine, are beyond compare. Vallejo's work is obviously dependant on photographs. Frazetta's work may be helped by photographs, but the finished work is all from his inner eye -- where perfection takes on other-worldy qualities: Vallejo's pictures look both too real and too unbelievable, if that makes any sense

Lord, Vallejo isn't even in the same league as Frazetta. |
