Anyone know where I can get military mapping symbols as clip art? online? free? What does this have to do with miniatures? Well, it's for a campaign idea I have. Sort of.

Corel Draw always used to have the complete NATO set when I last used it. They're pretty easy to make using Powerpoint (utilising the 'Snap To Grid', 'Group' and line-drawing functions).

Do you mean the symbols for regiments and such or the actual picture of a tank or fighter aircraft? If the latter, then check out the Zapfwingbats font that is part of the windows install.

There are free fonts that have the symbols. My guess is, do a google search for free military fonts and you will find them.

Not TrueType, but here's some good references on NATO unit symbols:

There was on online utility for making your own unit symbols; I'll dig around and see if I can find it anywhere.

I have collected some guides to actual WWII symbology if that would help; fairly small so I could e-mail them.

Lentulus: no, thanks. I pretty much know what they look like. I just want some I can cut and paste on my computer.
