Announcing the arrival of my gorgeous daughter Hollie on Sunday 11th at 9:50am GMT after 36 hours of labour. Oh yes, 36 hours! She's so quiet at the moment so I reckon she's saving her voice till later! She'll be used to the smells and sounds of the wargaming world in no time. |

Congratulations, if this is your first, life just changed a lot. I would not trade my two children for the world. I have a 17 year old girl and a 15 year old boy. They are great, but anyone that tells you being a parent is easy, they are lying. Mike |

I am sure that Average Joe will have some good advice. Having a puppy, by the way, is good for developing a healthy immune system, 8^) |

Congratulations! Can only add my voice to the 36 hours
hope you recovered completely by now. And by now you undoubtedly noticed that sleep was overrated in the first place. |

It is my first and I'll pass on your best wishes to mum. She's doing fine but she's a bit shocked at the language used during those long 36 hours. It sounds cruel but I did chuckle at some of the unique phrases she used. I've made a note of them and will certainly use them, probably next time I see my indestructable Prussian brigade destroyed (again). |

Oh yeah? Wait till she get's to be about 15, and tells you that you don't know anything, but her boyfriend doe's. That's when you start noticeing an actual grey hair convention. |

Congratulations, My daughter presented us with our first grandchild, a girl, about 3 months ago. I had forgotten how incredible babies are. |

Congratulations!!! Spray or soak sore tushes with a mix of witch hazel, comfrey, yarrow and lavendar. Olive oil, shea butter, yarrow,St. John's wort, calendula and lavendar make a good balm for wounded tissues such as tears and stretch marks and a good herb and oatmeal bath will do wonders. Sip some raspberry and orange tea and keep gripe water handy (fennel, chamomile) for colic. All these have been used for eons and can probably be found at your neighborhood pharmacy. (Gripe water is sold as "Gentle Tummy Tamer" with Disney's Pooh on the front at Walgreen's. Check your own sources.) Oh! Hang some plush dice over your darlin's crib. She can't get started counting hexes and rolling 6's too early. (She needs to know not to get serious about anyone till she's seen them game, too.) May you all be blessed with health and happiness. |

Congrats! Probably too late for this now, but SLEEP NOW! In other news, 36 HOURS? Good lord! Sure. apparently my wife had "birthing aptitude" (aka Big Hips), but we only dealt with 3:45 for the birth of BOTH of our chidren (with those numbers HEAVILY skewed towards the first
