Years ago I had three posters,in full color,of what I think were depictions of Elric of Melnibone subjects. One was of a huge red sailed wooden ship, with wheels and the wheels had long up curving horns coming out of their hubs, sailing / rolling over a fantasy arid landscape.
The second was of Elric, I think, in black ornate armour. With a dragon crested, open faced helm. He was in the fore ground, while the back ground was of a cliff/mountain side, with dragons on it.The dragons had yellow slit and compound eyes like a bugs.
The third was of an ornate, colorfull mounted Lancer with a tree behind him. In the tree could be seen the partial shape of a nude, albeit wooden, female form. In front of the Lancer was an elborite spired city, possibly the Dreaming City.
Does any one remember these images, or who the artist is,and or where I could see or obtain them again?

That would be Chris Achilleos for at least one of the prints.

I'm guessin that at least one of those was by Michael Whelan (he did all the Cover art for the Elric USA paperback versions, back in the day…)

Rodney Matthews did the second one you describe. I have that one on the wall in my basement right now. I got it for free as it was the last one at the poster store. I would have paid serious money for it but the guy just gave it to me as it was the sample and they didn't have any of the product to sell.

I've had a couple of his space scene posters for many years, and picked up a CD collection of his stuff about a decade ago. Based on the reactions of some people I've known, I knew RM would probably be the last one mentioned in response to such a question…

Rodney Matthews fantasy depiction of hawkwind in Elric at the End of Time is great…the whole book is really evocative….

I always liked Michael Whelans Elric covers even though he made him too muscular. I'm sure his hands were tied by editorial genius though…

Craig Russells comic of Elric is excellent as well.

Rodney Matthews, he is the artist. I realize now that there were four posters, the Lancer and the spired city were to different images that my memory had combined into one. However it is apparent to me now that all four were done by R.M. Thanks for the help folks. :o)
