Nice sculpt!

What kinds of miniatures are you planning on releasing?

Good luck with the new business.

By God – Princess Viktoria-Luise of Prussia looks exactly like my wife!

Your wife must get some odd looks when she goes out dressed like that. :)

Sane Max19 Mar 2010 7:24 a.m. PST

I know. The addition of a Pickelhaube to the outfit doesn't help….

I wonder if this will spawn a "all-girl Napoleonics" craze? Or at least some nifty alt-history stuff.

Assume a scenario where a worldwide gender-specific plague in the early 1700's leaves just enough men alive to continue the species. The women inevitably take over all the "manpower" intensive roles including soldiering, and a century later Empress Josephine is leading her armies against Viktoria-Luise there while husband Nappy stays safe at home in the seraglio.

Decades later, King Victor of England will make his mark as the most powerful male ruler in history, despite spending years in mourning for his wife Alberta. :)

Kind of "Y The Last Man" done early.

Totally unique. Great job.

Great looking figures. I'll be adding these to my VSF collection. Any plans in the future to having a side-saddle mounted versions?

Tommy2019 Mar 2010 8:32 a.m. PST

Before you all go too Napoleonic, that photo was taken in 1909.

Lovely figs. I can't wait for the side-saddle riding versions!

Just in case that one ever takes off, I'll restart my campaign for a Joanne Dru-alike:

Possibly has more practical use than Prussian Hussarines (although that's a tad rich coming from a chap who bought SYW teddy bears !)

Cool new range.

Interesting miniatures! Would like to see a standard bearer and a musician (maybe a drummer?) for the unit.

Paul Hicks it the basis for about 10 different companies. I hope he doesn't show up late for work. wink

Hussar units were fielded by several different countries. I wonder if it would take more than just a paint job to convert these German hussars to Austro-Hungarian or even British Hussars. Then I'd have a unit to oppose my Belle Zouaves de Butte Monmartre.

Got mine today. They are lovely!

Beautiful figures. Flintloque beat me to the question of how will these ladies ride horses. The dresses are too tight as shown, but there are buttons in the front to allow a straddle. Not sure if side saddle is good for a saber charge, but maybe a mounted volley?

Casual surfers be sure to follow his link to the site for a great painted sample.

I just received mine today, that was quick. Ordered Friday and delivery on Monday. Fantasic figures.

All-girl may be excessive and Napoleonics is definitively too restrictive!

They could also appear in -and be the pride of- the army of any Victorian / Belle Epoque Imagi-Nation. picture
But they could also be a 'Maiden Guard' in Palace uniform in a (± Balkanic?) Interwars setting: the Syldavian Guards in 'Ottokar's sceptre' were in such a hussar outfit.

Unfortunately, several features -the chain chinstrap, the rifles and specially the cartridges pouches- mark them as late 19th – early 20th C.: they would require difficult conversions to become 18th C. (the golden period of Imagi-Nations) Pandour Maiden Guards.
Nevertheless, with the mere addition of a keg Princess Viktoria may easily become a vivandiere?
Hopefully Eureka will revive the 'Sandra' SYW female army range… link link
or the competion will rise to the challenge: maybe Shadowforge? Or Hinterland themselves?

There's a lot of potential with these new miniatures… can't wait to get my hands on them.

Here's a pick with a female in picklehaube!

This reminds me of the "Winsome Warriors" book.
