Cultists aren't sculpted. They are indoctrinated.

These minis look great, and I bought MM's Zombies, which are also fine.

Those cultists will lose use of their right arms if they fire those Double-Barreled shotguns. WHY do some otherwise-good sculptors never figure out that longarms are not fired tucked into the crook of the elbow? Only takes a second looking into the bathroom mirror to discover this fact.

Maybe the sculptors have never fired a longarm?

Maybe they used a 'dollie' to start the sculpt, and it restricts them from properly positioning the weapon?

Opinions?

Sometimes holding a weapon incorrectly is a necessary compromise to accommodate the aesthetics of the figure. If you look at almost any figure on the market today, the proportions of the head, hands and feet are exaggerated by almost 50%. This is done to make the figure look "right" in the small scale. I've tried making some figures with the "correct" proportions but almost everyone that looks at them think the heads, hands and feet look tiny if correctly proportioned. The same is true for weapons and hats carried or worn. If they are correctly proportioned, everyone perceives them to look tiny. Consequently, weapons are regularly over sized and cannot be held "properly". If, on these figures for instance, I put the gun on the shoulder rather than the elbow, the gun would be sticking way out in front of the figure with the firing hammer almost at arms length away from the eye. This too looks incorrect. The positioning of the gun is a compromise to be sure and possibly could have been done better. However, it is a compromise made for aesthetic reasons that I don't believe could ever be resolved to everyones satisfaction.

Nice new (to me) idea, Chrismiss, thanks.
